Complimenting this design is a Biodynina diaphragm that bestows a rich low end, natural mids, and a high-end with tons of presence.

The housing on the TH909 sports a double-layer construction that includes etching metal for diverse resonance points and a stylish appearance. The cups are finished in a bordeaux-colored Japanese lacquer from Sakamoto Urushi Factory.

Cabling on the TH909 includes a detachable 7N-grade high-purity OFC unbalanced cable with a plug sleeve constructed from rugged duralumin and featuring rhodium-plated connections. The cable offers less than 0.000001% total harmonic distortion and features the same level of quality as the internal wiring on the headphone itself.

For earpads, Fostex includes a new low-resilience design providing an optimally-comfortable fit.
